Brian and Pauline Thomas have operated in the past-
1976 - 1988 Platypus Day Cruiser around West Lakes. 1988 - 1993 M.V. Foxy's Lady Cruises around West Lakes.
The M.V. Foxy Lady we had built new in Goolwa South Australia and launched in 1988. We combined our boat activities with a lakeside restaurant which we leased to complement our cruising activities.
1993 - 1997 Resited Foxy's Lady on to the Port River in 1993. Successfully cruised the Port River promoting Dolphin Cruises. Needed to invest in a bigger boat capable of holding 200 people.
1997 In 1997 we launched the South Australian built 'M.V. Port Princess', the current vessel, that cruises the Port River. On Foxy's Lady and Port Princess Brian and Pauline were involved with day cruises, tour groups, interstate and overseas conventions for lunches, dinners, and cocktail parties, as well as weddings, Christmas and company functions. Brian is a qualified Captain with 32 years experience, a maintenance engineer, and a former fire service officer. Pauline is a qualified Radio operator and holds a current Coxswain Certificate.
THE VESSEL
At present we operate a 24 m x 7 m vessel called 'M.V. Port Princess' on the Port River. This is a very successful operation. This boat was launched in November 1997.
The vessel has a draft of 1 metre and is licensed to carry 200 people including staff on board. It has a main dining room deck and a covered upper sun deck. It has a special circumstances liquor license for South Australia.
